Tempcover appoints new Chief Data Officer as part of growth strategy

Following months of sustained and measurable growth in the face of adverse economic conditions, Tempcover has appointed Graeme McDermott to the newly-created role of Chief Data Officer.

Data is at the core of the company’s strategy for sustainable growth, and McDermott was appointed to work closely with the full Tempcover C-Suite to specify all data operations, including data capture, protection, CRM, analytics, conversion and optimisation.

McDermott spent 17 years at the AA rising to the position of Data & Insight Director, before he moved to Addison Lee where he spent the last four years as Chief Data & Analytics Officer. In both roles, he led data monetisation programs.

Commenting on his new appointment, he says: “Tempcover’s speed of operating is refreshing, not only for insurance, but from any industry perspective. The Board has established a clear set of objectives and I look forward to playing my role in optimising the company’s data across the board.”

Tempcover founder and former CEO Alan Inskip adds: “Graeme boasts a wealth of industry experience and has developed an unrivalled reputation for his ability to protect and enhance a company’s data assets. This makes him a perfect fit to the Tempcover team, and we welcome his contributions to our growth strategy.”
