April 2021 marks Tempcover’s 15th anniversary! Back in 2006, our founder and former CEO Alan Inskip had a lightbulb moment – to provide flexible motor insurance cover for the time drivers actually need, with no long-term commitments or auto-renewals – just affordable cover, unbelievably fast. The UK’s original InsurTech was born that moment.
And, from very humble beginnings, the one-man business sold six temporary policies in its first week of trading. Fast-forward to today, where we have sold more than 3.4-million policies – averaging one every 60 seconds, 24-hours a day!
